Monthly plans
Keeping a site working is not the same job as growing one
Care keeps the site up, patched and backed up. It does not make the phone ring, and we will not pretend otherwise. Growth is the one that goes after work: the Google profile, the reviews, and the pages people actually find you through. Growth+ adds paid ads on top.
None of them is compulsory. You can buy a build, pay once and walk away owning everything, and plenty of people do.
Care
£45
a month, rolling from day one
Protection, not growth. This tier keeps the site working. It does no marketing of any kind.
- Hosting and SSL certificate
- Daily backups, kept off the server
- Software and security updates
- Uptime monitoring, so we know before you do
- Up to two small content changes a month
- A short monthly note confirming the site is live and up to date
Does not include: any active marketing work.
Start on CareWhere most people should land
Growth
£295
a month, three month initial term
The one that goes after work. Everything in Care, plus the ongoing job of getting found locally.
- Everything in Care
- Google Business Profile management: weekly posts, photo uploads, review responses and keeping the profile information right
- Review generation: customers asked for a Google review when the job finishes, and the replies handled
- Ongoing local search work on the site: service and area pages improved, on-page work, citations kept consistent
- Accreditation upkeep: your registrations shown correctly and currently on the site and the Google profile
- A monthly report built around enquiries and calls, not rankings
- One short call a month
Growth+
£695
a month plus ad spend, three month initial term
For when you want to buy demand as well as earn it. Everything in Growth, plus paid advertising run properly.
- Everything in Growth
- Google Ads and Google Local Services Ads managed
- Seasonal response: storm and emergency pages prepared before the weather turns, posts ready to publish, budget moved to match demand
- A larger content allowance
- A quarterly strategy review
Ad spend is paid straight to Google by you, and we never take a percentage of it. A management fee set as a share of spend pays an agency more the more you spend. Ours does not move.
Talk about Growth+We are not VAT registered, so there is no VAT to add. The price on this page is the price you pay.
What these do not do
The honest limits, before you pay for anything
- Care does not generate work. It is maintenance. If nobody was ringing before, Care will not change that.
- Growth does not guarantee volume. Nobody can honestly promise you a number of enquiries, and anyone who does is guessing or lying.
- Nothing here replaces a lead platform overnight. Local search work takes months to show. If you need work next week, keep paying the platform while this builds.
- We cannot make customers leave reviews. We can ask them properly, at the right moment, and make it one tap. The rest is your work on site.
How the contract works
This is the part most agencies bury. It is on the page because the terms are the product as much as the work is.
- Three month initial term on Growth and Growth+. Local search work does not produce anything meaningful in a month, and charging you monthly for something that cannot work in a month would be dishonest.
- Care is rolling from day one. No initial term at all.
- After the initial term, rolling monthly with thirty days notice.
- No automatic renewal into another fixed term.
- No exit fee, and no price rise without notice.
- Everything stays in your name throughout. Domain, hosting, code, content, analytics and the Google Business Profile. Nothing is withheld if you cancel, because none of it was ever ours to withhold.
Set against a lead platform membership
Origin labelled on every line, the same way the cost guides are. Anything we could not source is left off rather than guessed at.
| Term | Own The Job | Typical platform |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum term | Three months, then rolling | Commonly twelve months (published terms) |
| Billed when nothing converts | Yes, and we say so | Yes, plus per-lead charges (published terms) |
| Auto renewal | None | Common, notice periods apply (published terms) |
| Who keeps the reviews | You do, on your own Google profile | They stay on the platform (published terms) |
The full Checkatrade cost breakdown sets out the figures and where each one came from.
What the monthly report actually says
You judge this by whether the phone rang. Any report that avoids that question is avoiding the point, so ours opens with it.
Worked example. Invented numbers, shown to explain the format.
| Calls received | 31 |
|---|---|
| Form and WhatsApp enquiries | 12 |
| Google profile: calls, directions, views | 24 / 9 / 1,140 |
| Reviews collected this month | 4 |
| Done on the site | EICR page rewritten, two area pages added |
What it deliberately does not lead with
- Keyword positions. They move daily and they are not money.
- Impressions. Being seen is not being rung.
- Lists of technical activity presented as though the activity were the result.
All of that is in the report, further down, because it matters and you are paying for it. It is just not the headline.
Growth+
Trade demand is not flat, so the work should not be either
Roofing spikes with storms. Heating spikes when it turns cold. Emergency work spikes with the weather. A generalist agency runs the same budget in July as in January, which is how you end up paying for clicks in your quiet month and running out of money in your busy one.
- Emergency and storm landing pages written and ready before the weather turns, not after
- Google profile posts drafted and waiting to publish the morning it happens
- Ad budget moved to match demand instead of spread evenly across twelve months
Growth and above
Accreditations kept current, on the site and the profile
Registration numbers go out of date, logos get used in the wrong version, and an expired badge on a website is worse than no badge. We keep what you hold displayed correctly in both places.
Depending on your trade, that means the likes of Gas Safe, NICEIC, NAPIT, SSAIB, NSI, BAFE, FENSA, MCS and TrustMark.
We do not issue, verify or administer any accreditation scheme. We display what you hold, and it is on you to keep holding it.
How a plan sits alongside a build
The build is a one-off payment and the site is yours the day it goes live. A plan is a separate decision about what happens next. Most people who take one start it in the month the site launches, because that is when a new site has the least history and the most to gain.
This is a recommendation, not a requirement. Buy a build, take nothing monthly, and you still own the domain, the hosting, the code and every word on it. That is the whole argument this business is built on and a plan does not change it.
Or buy the pieces once, on their own
Questions
Can I cancel?
Yes. Care is rolling from the first day, so you can stop it whenever you like with thirty days notice. Growth and Growth+ run for three months first, because local search work genuinely cannot show anything meaningful in one month and we would rather set that expectation than take your money on a false one. After those three months they are rolling monthly on the same thirty days notice. There is no exit fee, no renewal into a fresh fixed term, and no clause that quietly rolls you into another year if you forget to write in.
What happens to my site if I cancel?
Nothing switches off, because nothing was ever switched on at our end. The domain is registered in your name and the code sits in your account. If you were on Care, hosting is the only thing you need to take over, and we will tell you exactly what to move and where, or leave it running while you sort it out. Your Google Business Profile is yours and stays yours, with our access removed. Reviews, photos, posts and analytics history all stay where they are. You do not lose a single thing you paid for.
Do I own everything?
Yes, and that is the point of the business rather than a favour. The domain is registered to you, the hosting account is in your name, the code is handed over, the words on the pages are yours to reuse anywhere, the analytics property is yours and the Google Business Profile is yours with you as owner and us as a manager we can be removed from in two clicks. Nothing is held back as leverage. If a supplier ever tells you that leaving means losing your website, you are renting, not buying.
How long before I see anything?
Google profile work tends to move first, sometimes inside a few weeks, because posts, photos and fresh reviews feed a system that updates quickly. Work on the website itself is slower and three to six months is the honest range before it produces steady enquiries. Reviews build at the speed you finish jobs, so a busy month collects more than a quiet one. Anyone who tells you they can rank a new trade site in four weeks is either describing a keyword nobody searches or hoping you will not check.
What if I already have a website?
Then a plan can still run on it, provided we can get proper access and the site is not built on something that fights us. Send us the address and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth working on or whether the £595 refresh is the cheaper route in the end. Sometimes the existing site is fine and all the missing work is on the Google profile. Sometimes the site is built in a way that makes every change slow, and paying us monthly to wrestle with it would be poor value for you.
Do I have to take a plan at all?
No, and the build is priced so that walking away is a real option rather than a technicality. Pay once, take the site, host it wherever you like and never speak to us again. The site will keep working. What it will not do on its own is post to your Google profile, collect reviews or grow new pages, and if nobody in your business is going to do those things then the site is doing half a job. That is the honest case for a plan, and it is the only one we will make.
How is this different from paying Checkatrade?
A lead platform rents you access to customers who belong to the platform. Stop paying and the enquiries stop the same week, the reviews stay on their profile and you have nothing left to show for the years of fees. A plan here builds assets in your name: your pages, your profile, your reviews, your rankings. Stop paying and it all stays with you, and it keeps working for a while before it goes stale. It is slower to start and it does not switch off. Run your own numbers through the calculator on the home page rather than taking our word for it.
Why is there no VAT on these prices?
Because we are not VAT registered yet, so there is none to charge. The number on this page is the number that leaves your account. If that changes we will say so on this page before it changes on an invoice, and never as a surprise line at the bottom of a bill. It is worth knowing that a good many suppliers quoting monthly fees to trades publish the figure excluding VAT, which makes a £295 quote a £354 payment. Compare like for like when you are shopping around.
